“If a child had the mind of an adult, she would never learn to walk. She would fall down two or three times and say, this just isn’t me.”

Michael Lee is a rare commodity – a working creative professional who is also trained and skilled in facilitating creativity and innovation breakthroughs for leaders, entrepreneurs, and teams. He is a transformational trainer, teacher, speaker, writer, and coach, and a world-recognized expert in the mindset of creativity and innovation.

He is a dual citizen of South Africa and the United States and has years of experience in the film, TV, and literature industries in both countries as well as in Europe.

He has over two decades of experience in the film and TV industry as a writer, producer, director, and script editor, across the US, Europe, and Africa and his TV productions have earned him 5 South African Film & TV Awards (SAFTAs). He was also a founding editor of the renowned international literary magazine Trafika, and has helped several authors write their books.

As the founder of the Innotivity Institute, he is the creator of the Innotivity™ modality, based on the philosophy that the most important Innovation you will ever make is to innovate yourself, and that the best way to free a team to innovate is to begin with shifting the minds of every team member, then building a unique team approach.

He currently serves as an Advisory Board member of the World Creativity and Innovation Week, a member of the Creative Council of Practice of the BIC Foundation, a Senior Adviser to the African Academy of Artificial Intelligence, and Global Advisor for the Silicon Valley company Innovation Minds.
